I can’t believe it’s my last day at university, even though I should be sad about leaving my university life and friends, I can’t wait, as I will finally get my gift from my parents for finishing university. When I was in school studying for my GCSEs my parents promised me that if I finished my studies, that includes graduating, they will buy me a car.
But the difficult part of that deal was I had to pass with good grades in school and college, but in university they would like me to pass with a first but will be happy even if I pass with a second or third. I worked really hard during my three years at university, as I really wanted to pass with a first.
I’m packed and ready to go home, but I know my hour journey home will feel like so many hours, as I’m so excited about seeing my family, who I haven’t seen in three years. My first few days will be spent just relaxing with everyone and catching up with what’s been happening.
Once I’ve settled down, I’ll mention the car to my parents and the best part of it is I have already seen a car that I really like. It’s a used Ford in Rushden, it’s in good condition and is very reasonably priced.
I just hope it’s still there when I get home, as I can’t be bothered to look for another car. It took me days to find that one and it will probably take even longer to find another.
Time for my new car
